Week 1
Power Ranking
Pay attention, because this is the only explanation of this for the season. The power ranking is made of three components:overall record, total points scored and something we'll call True Record*. For each component a team gets 12 point for leading that category, and 1 if they are last. The all elusive perfect score at the top of the power ranking is 36. And yes, this is the world's most advanced metric.Game of the Week
Southern Comfort 137.32 vs. FDFT 132.32
The pain train got started early in the season for Fort Dix, posting the fourth highest score in the league, only to watch SoCo put up 46 points in the Monday night games to steal the win in the closest game of the week. There's not really even anything to be snarky about here. No, Watkins won't put up 40 every week, but Devante Adams will probably triple his output most weeks. This really has to be a gut punch for Dix, who had a great draft, and has as solid a roster as he has had since joining the league, but once again is going to have to play comeback.
Hot Takes
- It feels like we've seen this script before with Chiefs AF. . .
161 points for the high score of the week, but all is not roses in AF land. In what is surely not a case of bad karkma, Tyreke Hill is hurt and out indefinitely, so it's time for AF to get to work.
- In the poor man's game of the week the Burning sensations put up a robust score while Sack Lunch played the role of Fort Dix in a hard luck loss. It's weird to look at his roster and not see Gurley's name, but two RB's putting up 20+points each sure seemed like vintage Sack Lunch.

- Looking ahead to week 2, a matchup between Noodle Soup and Chiefs AF looks like the most intriguing game of the week. On the AF side, how will they respond to losing the teams moral compass**and top WR. On the Soup side, let's see if he's here to stay and ready to start taking down the big boys in the league.
That's all for this week. Horrible luck to all of you in Week 2.
*basically another won loss record is kept where if you had one of the top 6 scores of the week you get a W, if you get a bottom 6 score it's an L.
