Game of the Week

Sack Lunch 142.96 vs. Mahomes Alone 125.96

No, this wasn't the closest game of the week (Prime Time and TDs. More on that later). It also wasn't the game that had the best combo of highly ranked teams (DBT and Burning Sensations). Although this game had neither of those qualifications, it did combine a score that was significant in the standings with a semi surprising upset that came late Monday Night. I say Semi shocking because even though Mahomes AF was atop the Power Ranking and Sack Lunch was in the double digit section, AF was only favored by 4 point. With AF sitting in the clubhouse Monday night with a posted 10 point lead, Sack got a monster night from his Bears D and their five turnovers, to end up with a score that looked much more like a blowout than this one really was. AF still stays atop the Power Ranking, despite the loss, but the dream of an undefeated season is over. Just three weeks in we are down to one remaining undefeated team, showing, once again, why this is the most elite fantasy football league in the world.

Hot Takes

- The aforementioned closest game of the week was between Prime Time and TDs. Prime Time is in an interesting place. In the regular standings, he's in the playoffs, if it started today. This team has been winning ugly however, which has led to less desirable real estate in the Power Ranking. It's also a good thing he has stacked some wins up early since he will be without the $80 man, Saquan, for roughly 6 weeks. Now is the time to show the league what is engraved on your heart. 

- Fort Dix, bruh . . 

Mayne . . .

I can honestly say I've never seen a team be no worse than the third highest score in the league two out of the first three weeks, have the 5th most points total in the league, and be 0-3. 

I'd say don't worry this will all even out, but it probably won't. 

- Lots of enticing story lines heading into Week 4, such as will TDs continue the hex that Mahomes Alone has when going against the 11th place team?* Will Noodle Soup and Southern Comfort continue their early season Streaking?

Will Bob Bruton and Fort Dix sacrifice an animal to appease whatever fantasy god they have pissed off this season?
